The seasons are two seperate movies that have nothing in common but the character of Reinhardt. The plots are not related.

Stories are OK, nothing special. First one is kind of like The Fugitive. It lives more from the actors than anything else. But OK to watch if you like crime stories.

Prey (2014) gets a second season

The BAFTA nominated series ‘Prey (2014)’ returns for a second season with a completely new story. The gripping three-part drama series will return with Philip Glenister in the lead role. Rosie Cavaliero will return as DS Susan Reinhardt.

In this new story, Philip Glenister will play the role of Prison Officer David Murdoch. His life becomes complicated when on a routine visit to a Manchester hospital with female prisoner Jules Hope events spiral out of control. David takes a phone call, which will change his life forever and suddenly sees him on the wrong side of the law.

“’Prey’ keeps you guessing every step of the way and I admire that about Chris Lunt’s scripts,” said Director of Drama Steve November with ITV. “They are beautifully written, unpredictable and with real pace. ‘Prey’ is a refreshing twist on the crime genre”

Great little series.

Last episode felt rushed however, I think it would have suited a larger series.

Still a great mini-series though, definitely worth the watch.
