Some of the story lines had extremely weak character motivation (others were downright silly), and I didn't much care for Deok Im's character (or the actress, really). I also felt like her reasoning and motivations were not as clear, compelling and strong as they could (and should) have been for her character to have been truly sympathetic. I'd have liked a strong, firm female lead like Hae Ryung from *Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung*. Someone with a strong sense of duty, morals and purpose, and the sound thought process to back it up. When it came to her relationship with San, Doek Im had the emotional intelligence of a rock. But the drama is totally worth watching if only for Jun Ho. He really was this drama's MVP and carried the whole thing on his shoulders.

Some soundtracks were brilliant and went hard while other ones were pure rehashed garbage picked up from your local free-licensed store. However, the drama itself suffered from being painfully long-winded, with excessive and unnecessary long shots that reflected negatively on the cinematography. Esp More
