Great little drama. Finishing off the unfinished novel in a typically c21st fashion. No Austen derived production can be wholly faithful, and this one revels in that, and makes a modern piece that is about the dramatic potential of what there was there for us today. If you didn't like it read the partial book and come up with your own, as many have done. Of course many say it wasn't Austen at the conclusion. NSS.

@amasulem Second season was equally as cut and paste as the first, with little to really make it stand out. Pleasant as continuations of unfinished works are, it is hard not to see the work of many hearts and minds that produce a chimera rather than anything with a sense of completion or wholeness. Well milked though for any sucker for Austen, with pleasant well-worn characters in well-furrowed plotlines. Even so you will enjoy these if you are inexhaustibly charmed by them. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it, yet it cannot but be a tad cut and paste from the other Austen works out if would feel even more so inauthentic.

@amasulem An unvarying diminution in quality of story with the third season concludes the series. The players are as wonderful as before and the sets and decor good, it just seems too alien to be considered Austen at this stage. It is something else, like a reasonably good fanfic rather than written by a well-informed Austen researcher.
