Are you ready for a Marvel-ous adventure that will make you laugh and cry at the same time? Then "Secret Invasion" is the show for you! This show has everything - aliens, superheroes, and a shape-shifting Samuel L. Jackson. But don't get too attached to any of them - this is a show where anyone can die at any moment. And speaking of death, the body count in this show is higher than the IQ of a flat-earther. But don't worry, the superheroes are here to save the day! They'll punch, kick, and laser-beam their way through any obstacle that comes their way. And if they can't save the day, they'll at least make a snarky comment before they go. But the real star of the show is the writing. It's so clever, you'll be laughing at jokes about genocide and war crimes. And the aliens? They're not just here to take over the world - they're here to make it a better place. A better place for them, that is. Whether you're a die-hard Marvel fan or you just like to watch things explode, "Secret Invasion" is the perfect show for you. Just be sure to have a box of tissues and a therapist on speed dial. Oh, and some Funny Lemon Snapchat lenses to lighten the mood. You're gonna need them.

Secret Invasion is rather what I have come to expect from US entertainment these days, that is, not a lot.

Take yet another formulaic story, vaguely reminiscent of Invasion of the Body Snatchers, throw in a dash of "watch out for those Russian's" sentiment, lots of special effects, that are admittedly, well done and parachute in a reasonably well known actor or two and hope it all works.

Without sating too much more, I was bored after 10 minutes and completely disinterested, after 20.Its not just the lack of originality either, its the absence of intelligent narrative and deep, meaningful, characterisations.

There are some really excellent contemporary sci fi series out there too, that offer lots of inspiration. German series "Dark", for example, is amazing. "Silo" is slow burn but again, it has something to offer the hungry sci fi viewer, beyond eye candy and things that go "zap or boom".

In summary, I personally found the first episode formulaic, basic and unoriginal. If you are new to this kind of action hero, sci fi mash up, you may like it but I suspect, for many veterans of the genre, it has little to offer.

Had to stop watching halfway through the first episode because it is so bad. Every other scene is filled with an excessive amount of diversity but all the actors accents are just bad and their acting is weak. They made Nick Fury feel weak and pathetic compared to how they presented him in the Avengers movies, and the entire episode was just game of thrones style world building through constant talking. Even The Eternals wasnt this bad and that is saying something...

What made me laugh was when their marketing said "Marvels Disney+ Secret Invasion is their most darkest TV series yet". What where they talking about, I've seen cartoons darker than this.

It is like they are constantly trying to tell you how to see it, rather than to let you decide how to see it for yourself. Remember how they kept telling us how scary Kang was in Ant Man and the Wasp: Quantamania? Yeah, it is because they know their world building and acting is terrible. They know their predatory behavior with excessive diveristy and massive cuts in budget is easier to get away with when they tell you what to think.

Marvel has reached a new low with this series. Do not waste your time.
