I'm OK with this being the ending, I'm just happy it's over.

Agree with duyfken, Charlie Hunnam’s accent comes out as some weird hybrid of an Aussie, Kiwi and South African with all the wrong intonation and it detracts from the experience.

Such a dumb show with such dumb characters and lazy writing. Do yourself a favour and don't watch this show and save your time. Watch another show, heck read the actual book and truly enjoy the story. Don't let these ass writers ruin a perfectly great story.

Starts out interesting, but it didn't maintain it long enough for me. Lot's of good characters but just couldn't stick with it.

if they cut out the huge middle part of the book it should make a really good TV series, looking forward to seeing it.

The show is hit or miss in so many factors. Writing, casting and pacing. Sometimes it works really well and the show rises above it's normal level, but other times it nose dives. Charlie Hunnam is not the best actor around and his accents are sometimes a bit laughable, but he's just a really likeable guy. The story around him in the slumbs was the reason I stayed with the show till the end. The political stuff didn't do it for me.

[tv+] If the original book already had a racist whiff, a colonialist vision of the white man who comes to fix the problems of the poor Indians, the series doesn't make much effort to give more complexity to the characters in a story that is too self-satisfied that It's hardly credible as an autobiographical reflection. But, although there is a high production level, it ends up having the same problem as "Tokyo Vice" as a westernized vision that only portrays Asian societies as corrupt and criminal. Charlie Hunnam determined to speak with an impossible Australian accent doesn't help either.

I see people are talking about the accent. Ugh. Who cares! He is british, and doing his best to do an australian accent. Not his fault.
The only thing I didn’t like about these series is that it is super outdated and misrepresentation of Mumbai. That’s all made up stories. It scared me to not want to go to India at all cause it is shown as not safe at all.

pretty sure it's set in either the 60's or the 70's (been a few years since I read the book so I can't remember)

Lin Ford (Charlie Hunnam) is meant to be an Australian expat, and yet sounds more like a South Afrikaan (and the *international* media somehow laudes Hunnam for nailing the Australian accent). How can we take it seriously, if someone who is meant to be an Aussie, is literally half a world away and sounds like a Springbok?
