the story is all over the place, both literally and figuratively. the story keeps moving from one timeline to another, and it seems like the characters can teleport wherever. the writing is messy and i have so many questions (like; so why the suitcase? is the han tae-san alive or not?? what about eddie kim (edit: [spoiler]i swear i wrote this before i watched episode 16. now I'm very annoyed because the last 20 minutes was just absurd[/spoiler])

Complete trash. There's no other way to describe it and no it's not the poor translation, it's the poor acting, the plot holes, the terrible writing and just everything.

I disagree with various comments. Until the last two episodes, the timeline, unlike in much of the Hollywood crap, is a single one. Then they make a mess at the very end. So, last episodes apart, I’ve found it quite smart.

Sure, at moments it may be hard to follow, But better thinking about it, it did make sense. Finale excluded where everything exploded.

Shew, this series was a slog, and this finale had more plot holes than (insert clever analogy). Many of them are covered here: https://www.thereviewgeek.com/sisyphus-s1e16review/. The main one, though, was just that Han Tae-Sul could have just destroyed his code for the uploader and the uploader himself and promised to never invent it, which would have rendered most of this plot unnecessary. The other main problem that I saw was that most of the characters, minus maybe Gang Seo-hae's father, were unlikable. Han Tae-sul's assistant, turned CEO of Quantum and Time was kind of right, Tae-sul - does - treat everyone like shit, and he kind of pushed the main villain, Sigma, over the edge when they were kids.

That said, I thought the plot was really ambitious, and the performances from the actors portraying Park, Sigma and Gang Seo-hae were really good.

I actually quite like it. While far from perfect, it's refreshing to experience Korean movie makers that actually put some heart into their work, compared with the current western productions (great visuals, but storywise just lousy reboots and retcons).

The repetition of names gets rather annoying. If you'd make this a drinking game, let's say take a small sip of beer every time you hear the name "Han Tae-Sul"... you'd be totally wasted before even seeing half an episode.

I see some here are complaining about the writing - I assert they should probably be complaining about the translation instead.
Others are complaining here about the many plot holes - I'm not sure they quite understood the show and the plot.

Normally I am against jumping back and forth in time. However, this show made it work quite well. The show also included multiple timelines or a changing timeline. Which just makes one's brain hurt if you think about it too hard.

I do have to say that even I was a little confused about [spoiler] the ending where Tae-sul and Seo-hae are on the plane - but I attributed it to an alternate timeline [/spoiler], but we may not know for sure about that until a possible season 2?

Really enjoyed the beginning but after a while, it felt like the series was just dragging on. It also felt like they kept trying to make twists and turns on the plot and trying to make it super complex but, to me at least, it ended up falling flat. Disappointing, because the acting was great and the premise was actually quite interesting... Not even sure how I would rate this.

summing up the whole series:good visual effects,fight scenes & soundtrack with very very bad writing..

16 episodes @ 70 mins. Very slow. Could/should have cut it to 45 mins per episode. Most of the current timeline scenes were interesting, but a lot of the "flashbacks" from the future were tedious, especially the Seo-hae backstory scenes.

Im glad, that I came back after the first 3 episodes, which almost lost me, since the storytelling is just not that good and makes no sense in the beginning.
But it has some love from the Producer in it and is building up progressivly

I felt the story was all over the place.
It has a nice theme and if worked on more could lead to a good story line.
The actor and actress are very well knows and good however the story needs a better guidance
