Solar Opposites starts out as a series that has a clear story, and a clear objective in mind. It knows what it wants to show the viewer, and when. As each episode goes, characters get a bit more fleshed out. Each characters has a nice development arc throughout the series. By the end, I can truly say I know these characters, and what they stand for.

I wish I could say the same for the story of the series. What starts out as a very clear storyline, becomes muddled with side stories which add nothing to the objective. Don't get me wrong, the series is worth watching, as I hope my rating suggests. But the main story got lost somewhere on the road, and all we got were discrete episodes, each developing characters, but not the main story itself.

Frankly, I started enjoying the
tiny people side story
much more than the main story, and it felt that much more important. I'm sure it was not meant to be that way, but
the people fighting for the WALL
took the spotlight.

The show is not very funny, but it's a good way to spend 3 hours if you have time to kill. The ads sprinkled throughout the series left a bitter taste in my mouth, but nothing that you can't get over.

Should you watch it? Yes, but maybe temper your expectations, and you may be in for a surprise.
