==**STILL 17 HAS 32 EPISODES, NOT 40.**==

>_I try to go somewhere but my heart has no strength, so I’m just staying here while the place I long for grows far away. Many things have already changed in time. I’ve indifferently remained here, lost and wandering…_ ♫

This show was incredible. I was hesitant to watch it at first due to what I perceived would be a creepy relationship between the mentally-17-year-old MC and the possible love interest, but I am so glad I decided to give it a go. It sucked me in immediately, The relationships the MC fosters with people of all ages are portrayed realistically and without being creepy in the slightest. If you’re as worried about that as I was, I’d urge you to watch it—I’m sure you won’t be disappointed! It was a great watch and is _definitely_ binge-able.

Soundtrack was top notch. The entire OST is gorgeous, really. I think I’ll have “Get Away” by Bonggu in my favorites playlist for a long, long time. It’s beautiful and really adds to the atmosphere of the drama. Actually, that could be said of any of the tracks! They really left an imprint on my heart.

>Enjoyable if you don't mind a FL who is extra about everything and 2nd Lead Male Syndrome
In short: this drama is nothing spectacular, but it's nice :)

This show was cute and sweet, yet annoyed me with the cliches and makjang story to no end.

PLOT
-----
The only reason why the plot moved at all was because of a series of situations where people kept missing each other, or simply didn't connect the dots. All the information, people and props were there, but the script annoyingly made the characters miss all of that due to either bad timing or not enough questions. It's so common and so overused in kdramas that I couldn't get into the story at all. I'm sorry, but if you let someone stay in your house for the night or longer, wouldn't you try to ask as many questions as possible? The story had great potential, but I feel like it treated fate in a very non realistic way. It was almost suggesting that a tragedy is not a real tragedy unless all the characters involved are a part of the tragic past. The show could have had a deeper message, but totally failed to deliver. Seo Ri's story was tragic enough and could stand on its own without all the extra details. I can't stand how shallow it all ended up being.
Essentially, I had a tough time getting into this drama. It got better with time, but the pacing wasn't all that great. I also didn't particularly care about the characters (excluding Seo Ri) until about the 1/3 of the drama. To me, that points to the fact that the writing wasn't great. The show had some really sweet moments, but the sweetness couldn't compensate for the lack of the actual plot development. The characters were lovable but a bit simplistic. Also, as much as I liked Jennifer, did her character really need to be that weird?

CONS
-------
'll tell you one annoying thing this show does is how every ‘cliffhanger’ Never. Does. Anything! The episode gets to a critical moment, then boom, freeze, end of episode. And then in the next episode, the exciting 'thing' never happens!! I made up a fun game before I started a following episode, called ‘Guess What Interruption Or Random Thing Can Stop This Plot Point From Happening’. Ugh the writers are such trolls

But most of all, I never want to hear the words 나때문에 (nattaemun-e) “because of me” / “it’s all my fault” EVER again. Trust me, if you watch it too - you won't either.

I mean the show’s cute and all but so many things would be cleared up so much faster if they just COMMUNICATED! The amount of time it took for things to get revealed was ridiculous.
For e.g. you have no idea how long it took just for people to find out that she was in a COMA. Our female lead is returning home after 13 years all dazed and confused with the mentality of a 17 year old, and nobody asked? Ever? And she never brought it up?!
When it got 'revealed', I was like "I can't believe it took this long to reveal this basic fact, they LIVE TOGETHER"
Also the sheer amount of 'coincidences' was a bit unrealistic, even for kdrama standards. And don't even get me started on all the repeated storylines

PROS
-------
Despite all this though, I shouldn't undermine the enjoyment I got from watching it. One thing I wasn't expecting to get out of this drama, this feeling of gratefulness? To see someone who had 13 years of her life taken away from her, all that time she lost.......kudos to her for being happy a lot of the time after losing all those precious years, damn. I don't know about other viewers, but that's the main thing I took from it: to be thankful that we are living and that we do have time ahead of us.

Other things that were refreshing:
- no villain wrecking havoc
- the male lead’s best friend was a woman who WASN'T presented as a romantic second lead
- no lead chases the other first, they fall in love slowly at the same time as they heal each other's trauma
- Jennifer's character. enough said

REWATCH/OVERALL
-------------------------

I will never rewatch this series but I'm glad I saw it. It introduced me to some fine actors and satisfied my curiosity about how such a premise could be realized in a drama.
