Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip

I feel almost fortunate to have stumbled across this Gem of TV, with fantastic characters and strong witty dialogue that made me laugh aloud on several occasions. I tore through the season in mere days, enjoying each and every episode, without ever feeling fed up watching back to back episodes, like I do with so many other shows. Well done Sorkin for another fine show, just a shame modern audiences have no clue what good quality TV is and Studio 60 had to come to a very premature end.

Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip is an incredible show. I've watched the entire season 3 times and recommended it to friends who just churned through it and love every episode. Matthew Perry is the lead and at the time I wasn't sure what to expect; what we got was a truly fantastic performance from start to finish. It is however an ensemble piece and there truly is no weak link. It is in my top 10 TV shows I've ever seen. The writing is masterful and the characters are so grounded they are totally believable. It couldn't find an audience despite it's critical acclaim; it was simply too smart for a mainstream audience. To say more than is in the description above would be a diservice to anyone who finds this wonderful show. Literally can't recommend it enough.
