Here we see another TV series developed by EuropaCorp, who were actually founded by Luc Besson in 2000 and who are responsible for major blockbusters like Taken, District 13, Transporter and Lucy. This time as well as giving us the Transporter TV series, EuropaCorp gives us Taxi Brooklyn, based on Besson's Taxi movies (the original French releases and not the Hollywood remake). Here we see a tough NYPD Detective who, clearly wrecks every car the department gives her and having to resort to solving crime by means of Taxi and her taxi driving partner. The premise is lacking, but had it been given the time, I believe the charactes would of been more fleshed out, more background revealed. sadly Taxi Brooklyn was cancelled back in March by NBC. If it wasn't for the huge cliffhanger, it would of made a nice mini-series, in itself. But, like me and everyone who's watched and stuck through 1st series, we can't get any closure. Thanks NBC. Kickstarter campaign perhaps, or will EuropaCorp make a one-off final episode to put the show to rest. Time will tell. Enjoyable, entertaining and funny. Should of been given more of a chance.
