Season 1: Fantastic show, 9/10
Season 2: Tried too hard but still fun, 7/10
Season 3: From very neutral to very political, 3/10

Apple can't help but to inject their agenda into everything they do, and it ruins it. Every single Apple show has very prominent gay story arcs, not just tastefully done gay characters, but forcing a storyline into their show just because. They aren't as vapid as most other network shows are regarding agenda driven content, but they are consistent through all their shows and you can see as Apple+ matures, they are bending more and more to peddling this nonsense, starting to make them indistinguishable from Netflix, Amazon and any network show.

I think that even though it's widely speculated that season 3 is the final season that Apple will try to stretch this out because it's one of the only highly successful shows they have put out, but season 3 is proving that it should be the end. At their accelerated political push, I don't think I'll stick around for season 4.

Trakt needs to redo their show overall rating to take into account the ratings from each season. Instead of averaging the ratings of all seasons (which would be 77% rather than the 85% it sits at now) it instead only uses the average of the SHOW rating, which is generally based on the first episodes or season, skewing the actual approval rating of the show. I would also have agreed with 85% for season one, and have since lowered my overall score but I don't think most people do that.

Ted Lasso is feel-good TV perhaps at its absolute best. It gives us a titular character who is so off-putting to everyone just from his relentless positivity, spirit, and heart at the beginning, but slowly is able to win over every single person around him and inspire all those around him to strive to be the best versions of themselves through the same resilient positive spirit achieved by leniency on others. The writing throughout this entire show has just been top notch, with characters that are fully understood and character arcs that are incredibly satisfying. By season 2 Ted is even given much more depth and we see the struggling parts of him, fully fleshing out his character as someone we can both related to and aspire to be. The comedy is also seriously fantastic right from the beginning. Jason Sudeikis is just so hilarious and in a world full of darkly comedic shows these days, Ted Lasso is a breath of fresh air that proves feel-good comedy can be just as good if not better as long as it's done right. The first season was a certified knockout and probably one of my favorite seasons of TV ever, and while the second two didn't quite live up to that, they stood out in their own ways and ultimately the show ended on a perfectly bittersweet note that exemplified the central themes of the show in the best way. If you want genuine laughs, emotion, and incredibly lovable characters with stellar writing (which why wouldn't you), then this show is for you.

9.3 // Excellent

An amazingly original, funny and lively show. A great cast with visible chemistry. The show will have you laughing and leave you feeling like you’ve had a really good hug after each episode. Unique in modern times.

I started watching this show as someone who doesn't care at all about football (soccer) and had no expectations for the series. Season 1 starts off slow and the Ted Lasso character is a bit annoying at first, but about halfway through the first season it all really started to click for me and season 2 was just fantastic. Another reviewer talked about the chemistry among the show's cast and I completely agree. I felt like they build the side characters well and a nice amount of the showtime focuses on them. Season 2 also gave me quite a few more chuckles. Overall, a great original series from Apple+ and definitely recommended from me.
