Started off interesting and with some promise, but _really_ went downhill in the second half. I was bored out of my mind for some episodes. And that last arc was so short and anti-climactic you have to wonder what all that build-up was about.
The animation quality is definitely above-average and there were some good scenes (mostly in the first half), but overall a waste of time really.

@maniacb Agreed, big disappointment especially with the last EP and the last bit. I thought it peaked in the middle - the start and end were terrible imo.

Boring, cheesy, and flat out unentertaining. Pity, as I usually like isekai and was looking for something light to watch, but this is flat out boring. The characters are lifeless, the story is predictable as hell, and nothing interesting happens. The main character also seems to want to make friends with everything that they see. Big disappointment.

It had a great start with an impressive story and action but after the first arc it became a lot more Slice of Life...ish. The protagonist made friends with everything he saw and all his problems are solved just like that. An overrated anime with a dull plot; not the type of show I'd like to watch for long.
Season 2 is confirmed and I hope they'd make it better then the first.

The most wholesome anime I ever watched, Slime is adorable.
This anime is an adaptation of the manga which is an adaptation of a novel. If you want more content and more political information, definitely check out the novel.

It's pretty fun in the beginning, and it's nice to see the humanising of all of these fantasy creatures, and Rimuru's absurd over-poweredness is more entertaining than you'd expect but later in the series (after the Orc Demon Lord) it seems to get distracted from the central plot and lose its sense of direction. After that, not much is really added by the end of the first season.

Hopefully the second season brings it back on track.

I watched it after seeing Tsukimichi, and I think there's a certain resemblance ([spoiler]especially in the fact that certain species neglected by humans are grouped together[/spoiler]).

As usual, the main character is overpowered, but for once, the more he progresses, the more his companions gain power and can use the main character's abilities.

Clearly overrated, not the anime of the century, but it's still fun to watch and I had a good time. Despite the fact that the animations sometimes leave something to be desired ([spoiler]like the moment when we see the Orc army and some of the Orcs are superposed..[/spoiler]).

The main character is to shallow, sometimes annoying. Could be a better show. Cannot recommend it like this.

It started strong and there are many good episodes. but especially the second part of the second season was horrible. Episode after episode of nothing happening, just them sitting in a room discussing plans. Really boring.

If you like interesting yet simple characters and an expanding world despite not really going anywhere, with fight scenes so one-sided you may as well watch somebody chop down a tree, this is the show for you! No, what humor there is isn't enough to carry the plot or action. It's no comedy.

P.S. I enjoyed it but was repeatedly disappointed.

Eff me, this is a 2 cour show... going to drop this then. Really hoped for this to be an above average isekai but it really isn't. Any promise of individuality in the first episode was not touched upon and it instead went the boring Gary Stue-lets-be-friends-with-everyone route without a hint of an interesting story to be found.

@aiven this show isn't very lewd by anime standards... unless a genderless slime is sexy? You seemed to like KILL La Kill which is even lewder so this can't be the sole reason :)

@sp1ti I think that what makes anime lewd is pervertness of characters and authors' accent on nudity. All these semi-lewd stuff in Kill La Kill were kinda like stylistic component that can be justified by plot (or I just really like this anime and made myself to ignore all lewds and now trying to justify myself...). Whereas in the slime there is nudity for the sake of nudity.

@aiven Too bad but that is exactly why I dropped it in the first place :). The casual viewerbase still seemed to still like it a lot at the time hence my note :).<br /> <br /> Your lewdness issue to me still seems like a lost cause in anime *g. I don't see nudity alone as much as an issue and didn't think it was used in a lewd way here. The big-milkies-head-over-heels ogre lady or the hostess ladies were more in the vain of fanservice tbh.
