Starts off pretty bad then all of a sudden you've been awake for 20 hours and binge watched the entire thing.

Persevere through those initial few bad episodes and you're in for a right treat.

When I first started watching I tought this was going to be one of CW's crap and cliché teen shows with love triangles and annoying storylines. But then I continued watching even though the first episodes were bad and I gotta say I'm happy that I gave it a try, unexpected things happened and the show only got better and better. This is one of the few CW's shows that's worth watching.

Season 1 was just a plain teen drama with some scifi slapped here and there, season 2 is completely different, with a "war" between everyone and some (expected) twists, which is kinda better.
Every character is made to be "shipped" with someone else to please teenagers
The science part is terribly wrong, logic doesn't exist

And every character should be retarded, they have all been hit with a stone/brick/gun/whatever and knocked out for a few hours at least 3 times but they all wake up like if they just had a beauty sleep

Once you get through the 1st season, it becomes a treat to watch.

Only watch through season 1 to 4, after that it is a downhill. The last season is a shitfest, one of the worst seasons I've watched in my entire life.

what a crappy and annoying show

It is pretty terrible at first, the first couple of episodes are boring and just meh. However if you stick them out it gets a lot better. I liked the end of season 1 and most of season 2. But season 3... Ugh. It's starting to feel like they are just running around in circles and the story line is starting to be more than ridiculous. I'm not saying that it should be 100% realistic but... come on. Plus none of the characters are particularly likeable. They especially made Clarke increasingly unlikeable with her "god complex". And the other characters are always complaining or depressed or suicidal or unhappy... It's such a whiney show. Only watched the first 3 episodes of season 4 and I'm mentally drained. Gave it a fair chance and it disappointed me.

This show is absurd. Each episode is more preposterous than the one before it. If quality writing is important to you then skip this.

It may start out as a sci-fi apocalyptic teen drama, but it soon becomes a bloody mix of Mad max en Lost. This is best series of the year for me so far.

It goes something like this: ok mwoah -------> huh?, interesting-------> wtf?! ---------> WTF!!---------->WOW! WTF!!

The symbolic 100 episodes. Makes sense.

This series has become a favourite of mine. The writing is good, the young cast just get better and better. If you haven't been watching this, begin a binge from Season 1 (you'll really need to because it is character driven and there are a lot of characters to keep up with). Even though it has some of the juvenile premises of CW series - good looking kids (teens and 20s) in a world with basically no adults, making life and death decisions - it also has some brilliant thinking about character, survival, love, loyalty, courage and the evils/benefits of society, even the development of languages and a study of cultures. I initially gave it a 7 (good) out of 10, expecting that score to rise. It did. Now, as I await season 6, I give it a solid 8.5 (great, with moments of superb). [SciFi Drama]

Those looking for a quality sci-fi keep looking, nothing to see here. Those looking for a teenage drama masquerading as a sci-fi congratulations you've found it. It should not take the average viewer long to figure out this poorly written series is for teens and pre-teens. Spoiler Alert, it's terrible.

Brilliant! Looking back the first season wasn't my favourite but Season 2+ was amazing, has to be one of my top shows a real underdog here.
