Watched the first episode just now. It was kinda Telenovella-ish, but not horrible. Kind of one of those meh shows you'll put on while you shop on Amazon. It's neither good nor bad. Just blah. It's listed as a comedy, but it's not funny. Lots of drama. And the "Beauty" is not really a beauty, though I think that doesn't really matter by the time the show is through. She's a 7 tops. The first girlfriend that he has was a solid 9 minus the crazy.

Good watch & a quick time pass. There are some crazy drama scenes in the show but if you put that a side, it’s a fun ride. Too bad it’s only one season but they do tie most things up by the end. Though there is a cliffhanger which they could’ve used as the driving story line for next season but regardless it’s still a good watch.

The Baker and the Beauty is completely adorable. The storyline is simple to follow, famous woman and lower class man meet, fall in love, get thrown into each other's worlds and chaos erupts. Focuses on the Spanish heritage and a close relationship with family and community. Not much to it but the romantic comedy feel to the series makes it a must see to anyone out there who is a sucker for sappy shows.

I could see the potential here, but I feel like they didn’t nail the adaptation, there’s certain madness, extravaganza, opulence to a telenovela (middle eastern or latina) that doesn’t translate that well to an american series, specially one with 9 episodes, so I was expecting something more h More

This was exactly what I expected: a cute little show with family drama, complicated romance, but probably a little less baking than what I'd hoped.

Overall, it's not the type of show I'd watched going for hundred of seasons though I find it harsh that this was cancelled after one seas More
