This show has fantastic lore and characters but lacks seriously in pacing. Part 2 especially is a mess. So many storylines never finished and so many choices that are bizarre. Part 1 was pretty damn solid for the most part aside from some creepy aspects that turned me off of a character or two. But Part 2 is just disjointed and without a satisfying resolution.

The animation by far is the best thing about this show. It is beautiful all the way through. However, that's not to say that the art always fits. There are some backgrounds, and design choices that don't seem to work in certain scenes or could have been from a different angle or point of view.

I do praise the show for having feminine-designed male characters, especially as the leads. However, that doesn't change the fact that as someone has already said here, it heavily baits you that this is yaoi with their progression through the show. Which it is not and seems to only throw relationships in there to mock the fact that you want it to be _(those being the previously stated storylines that lead nowhere)_.

As frustrating as all that and Part 2 is. I dare say it is still worth a watch for the amazing world it sets up and the characters with whom you will fall in love with.
