I just watched the 1st episode. They didn't skimp on the super fight choreography. I love the concept of how this is a prequel to the rise of Winston Scott, who eventually became the manager of The Continental. The episodes are an hour and a half long. I can't wait for the next two to drop.

Sets, cinematography, soundtrack all top notch. Acting and actors are pretty good. Dialog is basic - shame they did'nt try to make it interesting. Action is super unrealistic "a la" John Wick but that's the point and the choreography and stunts are pretty good. Mel's a nice touch too... LOVE the NYC in the 70s vibe. It's all overdone and exaggerated but a lot of fun to watch....

This series is not going to be about John Wick at all, but about a different character in the same world. I had hoped for a show about John Wick's early years, but unfortunately this won't be it. That being said, I'm not sure how this show will be received, I guess time will tell.

The Continental, for me, at least, is too much The Sopranos and too little, John Wick.
