I used to watch this show all the time, especially when it was Jon Stewart of course, and even gave it a go when JS left and gave Noah a chance for about a year or two until I just couldn't stand it any longer.

After a good 2-3 years, minimum, of staying away I decided one night when I was bored to check it out again, sadly it was a Wayans (and not even a funny one) hosting and within the first 2-3 minutes I counted at the very least 4 racist jokes about white people, I think 1 of them got a laugh the others were more along the lines of what I would call half hearted or describe as 'unsure' of whether they should laugh or not as though the audiences brains themselves were telling them there was something wrong with what was being said but felt compelled to laugh anyways (maybe it was just the shitty jokes?).

Fine, maybe it was just the Wayan that was racist and they let it slip by, I didn;t want to judge the entire show based on one fill in host (I think he is a fill in and Noah is still the host anyways). Next show, a new host, same old thing... more racism, and not by just the host but by the other "comedians" on the show as well.

It is truly mind boggling to me how a show that preached fairness, equality, anti racism/fascism has now become the very thing it stood against, that it once it shon a light on, and in this day and age of extreme wokeism (I actually thought it was something good at first as well) it seems like being racist & sexist is perfectly acceptable.... but ONLY if it's directed at straight white men!! or else!!... just once I wish someone would stop, take a breath, and ask one simple question "If we took "white" out of this joke and inserted black, brown, yellow or red... would we still be okay with it? would we still want our audience to laugh at it?" "If we took "man" out of it and inserted woman, homosexual or trans would it still be ok?"

It's truly sad for someone like me, a straight white male, who not only fought for 4 decades for equality, anti racism, sexism, gender equality and more, who 99.99% of the time agreed with Jon Stewart, who cheered on my friends/neighbors to the south as they seemed to be progressing towards these things only to see it all become some vile "our turn" bullshit that has left me standing back and not knowing who the hell I support any longer... and ultimately not supporting anyone.

I grew up watching women fight to get jobs in industries like movies and television just to see white women get passed up just because the color of their skin is white. smh.

I watch as the US busts a nut over the fact the MLB World Series teams don't have a black man on them, as though the teams planned it this way, I watch as even the MLB itself is being accused of being racist by one of the teams Managers no less (Dusty Baker, a black man) and setting it up this way... that they should do something to prevent it from ever happening! and I watch as the media not only started it all but slopes it up and stokes the fires for ratings all the while not a single one of them bothered to ask Dusty Baker "Do you have proof?" or better yet "Which one of your players do you think doesn't deserve to be playing in the WS because he doesn't have the right color skin for you?"
Of course the white knights are all over it and no one can say anything about it because it was a black man that said and to disgaree, or point out it's racist, would be.... well.... racist?? and would immedaitely have cancel culture (fascists) after you forcing you to shut up and take it.

Yes, it's their turn, it;s Trevor Noahs turn, it's the Daily Shows turn.
No, like Jon Stewart once did, I will not sit and quietly take it without pointing out what is wrong with it. That the scales that should have been equalized have completely and utterly been tipped in the opposite direction. The anti racists have become racists. The anti fascists become the facissts, the anti sexists become sexist.

Back to Starnger Things and the Upside Down where things at least make more sense. O rmaybe that's where....
