I loved this series, and I am so excited to rewatch it in a short succession binge after patiently awaiting a weekly watch.
The themes of fear-manipulation-assimilation-authority and power, lead ultimately to forgiveness and understanding. We need more shows that look at and critique power structures in a nuanced way, and along with "Not Me" I felt that 2022 was a good year for BLs doing just that.

I also really need to commend the chemistry between the actors in this series. First (Kanaphan) as Akk and Khaotung (Thanawat) as Ayan absolutely knocked it out of the park. Honestly, they both could communicate pain and love with JUST THEIR EYES. The Akk/Ayan relationship was a major green flag, there wasn't any pressure only open communication and patience. Ayan is the real MVP of boyfriends, and I loved them so much.

I also have such a soft spot in my heart for Louis as Thua, and Neo (Trai) as Khan. I loved them in Fish Upon the Sky, and they have really grown and improved their acting skills, as displayed in this series. Neo especially tore at my heart strings in very single scene he was in, and I want Louis to look at him with puppy-dog eyes from now until forever. I want them to be main leads in a series as soon as possible, do you hear me GMMTV??

Now there are spoilers below - be warned.

[spoiler] The big bad reveal was both a surprise, and a bit of a rush in my opinion. I do wish they had spent a little more time on the emotional fallout of both the teacher Dika/Teacher Chadok reveal, as well as the traitor reveal... Even if I understood the implications, I believe one more episode with some emotional fallout on our group of friends could have been explored. That was a big betrayal, and I don't think there was enough time given to Thua in his explanation. Nor did Thua face any repercussions of OUTING his friends. [/spoiler]

[spoiler]I do appreciate that the students actually had an impact on their institution - there was positive change to the system, but also to the individual teachers themselves!! Growth is not just limited to children, and adults need to acknowledge their mistakes and apologize as well. I found it refreshing that Akk actually faced repercussions to his actions, ending up relinquishing his position as Student Prefect and making room for his peers, who had witnessed and learned from his mistakes.
