While I didn't hate the show it has a weird tone as if your parents were trying to be edgy & cool but are still settling for family friendly goofs... The episodic nature keeps things somewhat interesting as it's the local residents whose interactions end up being especially cringeworthy.

Likable, barely edgy, minimally to mildly vulgar and has some funny moments.

Kind of hard to compare to other shows. Same feel of My Name is Earl, Scrubs or Brooklyn Nine-nine. Centralized on various travelers and vacationers that change every episode usually a semi famous actor. Some town people stay relevant through out. Show occasionally breaks out of it's set pattern.
