This is what happens when one rejected 'black mirror' idea is stretched into 7 painfully boring episodes.

People who made it don't understand what Sci-Fi is about. If you look at any good 'black mirror' episodes, you'll quickly see that the fancy tech isn't the star of the show. We are. The human condition and human nature. And the tech is just a vehicle through which the show explores it.

This is exactly how this show is advertised. "Nature vs Nurture" an age-old philosophical question. Will criminals change their criminal behavior if they forget everything they know about themselves? Or will they go back to their criminal ways, because being a criminal is just a part of whom they are? This is how the trailer portrays the show. An exploration of human nature. Spoiler alert, this question is never touched throughout the show in any meaningful way.

There is also no mystery as by episode 3 they just flat out tell you and the main character what's going on.

Also, this is a side note, but this is something I found hard to ignore: This show goes out of its way to portray men as assholes. It's hard to ignore when it's so obvious. Every single female character has a justification for the bad things she had done in her past. While the majority of the men are just assholes without any explanation as tho what made them become assholes.

For instance [spoiler]one of the females is a nurse who euthanized people in pain, the other was coerced by her boyfriend to rob a bank, another tracked a rapist and killed him, another tried to escape from her abusive husband and the last one didn't do anything, she just was framed.[/spoiler] while the majority of the male prisoners don't even have a back story, no justifications or reasons to why they did what they did,[spolier] one just likes to rape, one is just a mass shooter and one just can't take rejection so he kills women who reject him. [/spoiler]
