Don't know where the high ratings come from. This show is not good. It's slow, empty, cliché and totally not "cool" or "tough". Luke Cage was the only show that was nice to watch. Probably something to do with the American cliché of having the worst life, drinking alcohol to drown in your sorrows and having had loss (which we all have in our lives). Being able to relate doesn't make this a good show. Hoped for a surprise, but it's nothing special and even a bit bad..

@allendar Try to perceive the show from the perspective of a veteran that returned from war. The show is anything but empty, the message is clear in the end, an endless war inside a war veteran, the vengeance story is a perfect metaphor for an internal war that a returned veteran feels. The last scene from the last episode makes this clear.

@allendar Really? I couldn't disagree more, coming from an Australian, the American cliche has nothing to do with it, it's an entertaining violent justice-fest of a show and Jon Bernthal was perfect in his role.

@allendar Given your 15% watched marker, I'm going to guess you didn't get very far in. The first few episodes are boring. Hell, I wouldn't have watched the show if not for my desire to consume almost everything in the MCU. So I'm coming at this from the angle that the show isn't 'great' to begin with, but honestly, while it doesn't deserve any awards (except maybe for how it handles multiple different viewpoints of the issues with veterans returning from war), the relatively bland start isn't indicative of the follow-through.

if the show isn't much to begin with, and season 2 is generally rated as being very bad, then what's left? I watched painfully through the entire first season, with the dragged out story, bad and overacting actors, who you can almost see thinking how they should act in certain situations.... this is for me again a great Marvel character total wrong pictured....

I didn't know what to expect from the show after the second season of Daredevil. I din't like the whole story around The Punisher, which might be because I am not a fan of Jon Bernthal. I didn't like him on The Walking Dead either. I am four episodes in now on The Punisher and to be honest, it did surprise me. After Daredevil I was expecting much worse, but the show did prove me wrong until this point. It won't be my favorite show and I do like Daredevil more, but what I like about The Punisher, is that it is something different, especially if you compare it to all of the other superhero shows out there. It is raw, brutal and merciless. Not sure if it'll be enough for multiple seasons, but for the moment I'll continue with it.

@lumartist Dont understand why are you comparing this to daredevil<br /> <br /> What super power or shit does punisher has?<br /> Daredevil can do all that shitty jumps and because of that i just watched 3 to 4 episodes, it was just too much nonsense<br /> Punisher i could watch the full season, could not be the highest serie made in 2017 but for sure it was a nice time wasted watching with no bullshits of a blind man who can kick the asses of everyone

cmon guys. this show is what it is meant to be: badass elite soldier eliminating evryone responsible for the death of his family. its no rocket science, its not worthy of an Emmy, but hey i binged it and liked it

Mediocre and Boring, nothing impressive, too much talk and filler, i hate the villains and all the supporting cast. The action is good and the ultra violence is fun but they all regenerate too quick.

Another Netflix marvel another shit. Empty with so many time loose on nothing. At the end of a scene you know what happens in the next and there is no suspens no tension juste things what you think can happen and happens.

Come for the action, stay for the drama. This is mostly a drama, a slow burn series but you will find yourself starting the next episode as soon as the current one ends (I binged all 13 episodes in 2 sittings). When it does get to the action, it doesn't disappoint.

the episodes are long, the story progresses slowly. you already know what's going to happen, no surprises. endless talking, constant whining about being veterans, veteran support groups, how they can't handle the war, oh the PTSD. it's tedious, boring, why would you become a soldier if you can't handle killing, what did you expect

Hell Of A Show, And Much More Then I Expected. The Third Season Was An Unexpected Rollercoaster Of Thrill And Action. Frank Castle Became The Punisher With So Much More To Fight For, With Intertwining Stories, It Just Kept Getting Better.

What A Show, And Netflix Really Did A Great Job With Marvel And Genuinely Sad To See It End. The Last Of The Marvel & Netflix Joint Venture.

Finally finished season 2. It was painful to watch, dragged on for way too long. I would recommend skipping 60% of the story (waste of time talking parts). So many stupid characters, terrible writing style, horrible story telling. Season 1 was amazing, this season I could’ve spent my time watching better show. The Punisher needs to go after the director & writers for making a season that just dragged on.
