The trailer shows so much that I don't know if I am interested in watching this anymore. I will have to wait and see how the reviews are. Seems to me that the trailer shows all you need to know about what you're going to watch, sadly.

@indigoviking I know what you mean! That's why I usually never watch a trailer until after I've seen the movie. I use trailers to remind me what a movie or miniseries was about, when Trakt says I already watched it.

@indigoviking It's a common issue with trailers, but why did you watch the whole trailer if that's problematic for you? Surely you would have realized that important plot points were being divulged part way through it?

@rokejulianlockhart So I typically watch trailers to see what the general theme is. Some trailers show too much and go beyond what should be revealed prior to watching. For example, the movie "65" the writers wanted the Dinosaurs to be a "surprise" but whoever edited the trailer clearly revealed it and there was a lot of fuss around it.

I like to see trailers through to see if they are done well, if there is enough mystery left over or the trailer is edited well enough that it gives me that "I HAVE to watch this!" feeling, that's going on my list.

I agree I could have turned it off, which I do sometimes. Though I guess how people judge a book by it's cover, I judge a series/movie by it's trailer (I already have a big enough backlog of things to watch).
