I have one word for this show: "masterpiece".
It's truly amazing, the acting, the story, wow, just wow. One of my favorite shows.
If you enjoyed "The Godfather" movies, you will surely enjoy this show. A must watch.

The greatest television ever produced. 88 hours of cinema quality production and phenomenal casting,writing,and directing. A masterwork for all involved - a magnum opus. The quality is industry-changing. Wished it could have continued forever.

It's overrated.

People talk endlessly and use pretentious words to describe, but that will never change the fact that its just plain boring.

In good shows every scene has a purpose, it has a start and an end, it unravels like a story should dripping feeding the view interesting plot developments. Sopranos doesn't do this. Episodes are filled with pointless scenes that serve no purpose.

The dialogue is essentially the gangster equivalent of small talk. Its never interesting. Its rarely funny. And it gets boring really fast.

A story should also have build up and a pay off. Sopranos doesn't. It feels like the story doesn't progress. When you watch a show like Breaking Bad you feel the story progressing, you feel the build up throughout the season and then the insane pay off at the end. When I watched Sopranos I felt nothing.

Just heard on the news that James Gandolfini died of an heart attack while on vacation in Italy.

May he rest in peace. Just like with Michael Clarke Duncan this was a very talented man who died way to early. I will always remember him as the mafia crime boss who managed to show the world through an awesome tv show that even Mafia crime lords can have family and business troubles and that they have to deal with those in their own (sometimes violent) way.

Great show but I'll tentatively call it slightly overrated. It just got a bit repetitive for my liking at times and the main character was often infuriating to watch (obviously he was supposed to be, but watching his endless cycle of self-destruction and cheating was draining, to say the least).

Oh boy, did I enjoy The Sopranos.

They don’t make shows like this anymore. The character development is top notch and the story takes his sweet time. Every single one of the actors is amazing. It just works. Sure, not every storyline is superb. For example, AJ was kind of annoying in the later seasons, but all in all, this is almost flawless.

I’m glad I finally watched this classic and would recommend this to everyone who has the time. You are going to love it.

The best family drama on TV.

This show is addictive and very indepth with all sorts of details nearly hidden from us but never outright flashed before us. David Chase and all the fantastic writers really did one hell of a job with everything. Every character is some how connected and have something in common with everybody, it's astounding. My favorite character has to be Chris Moltisanti.
