A horrible piece of military propaganda primarily aimed at the type of ‘real’ men who like to consume too much beer and hang around in their own garage while listening to Alter Bridge.
It’s dumb, derivative, dull and devoid of interesting ideas or characters. You’re not going to find any fun here, everything is trying really hard to be dour and dramatic, but the writing is so generic and boring that it doesn’t work.
Chris Pratt's charisma is stripped away and instead he's playing a generic, brooding character that could easily be portrayed by any actor.
It just begs the question: why cast him in the first place? It requires little to no range, so why didn't they just cast a cheaper actor?
Any interesting cinematography is obscured by desaturated muddy grey tones, the color grading really makes the whole show looks like trash. It tries to be cinematic, but it ends up looking all the more cheaper for it.
I don’t get why people watch this, is it because of the patriotic undertones? Watch _Top Gun Maverick_. Is it because it’s a little more violent than most movies and shows? Watch _Daredevil_, the execution of the action is way better and it’s got plenty of Christianity as a bonus.

@rvansinger Alright, well then it’s a case of Pratt underestimating his own talent, I suppose

Though it's a simple story, the show is pretty consistent, and coesive. Like how they aknowledge that some operatives are not the best, but had some basic training and at least have some idea of the situacoes in a organic maner. It's kinda cheap, but it works most of the time.

And that reporter. It's hard to see journalist work so exciting as in this series. She is so sharp. There are a few instances were you can see that clearly, but one that's fresh cause I just finished the series, it's when she points to little inconsistencies in
heartley testimony
that changed the whole picture... That's the kind of work that really good journalists are known for. Not necessarily putting themselves in danger, but going after the facts, laying down correct timeline, and pointing inconsistencies. Great work from whoever was their consultant in this series for this.

I saw that last "twist" ever since episode 5 when they show the cap list. It's actually pretty obvious, especially in the next episode with all the cover up thing.

Still got me sad though. Chris acting is kinda mediocre, but it don't know... The silence, his lack of urgency... The way
the other person
just accepted his end... Made it all sad.

Best revenge story ever!
This is how I would track down the people that killed my family to avenge them... if I was in any way physically capable of doing it :-)

Chris Pratt has come a long way since Andy Dwyer on Parks And Recreation. He's turned out to be an excellent action actor. He's very believable in this role (as he is in his others).

The Terminal List is painfully slow, cliched, and violently meaningless.

In spite of excellent acting from the cast, this series takes forever to go nowhere interesting. It drags the viewer along, at a painfully lethargic pace, weighed down by often cringe worthy, pro US military cliches. When it does finally go somewhere, its to a dark place, filled with ugly, empty, meaningless, violence.

I really wanted to like this series, in the same way I did like Jack Reacher. That said, where Reacher was loaded down with calculated violence tempered by reason, thrills and action, this series is, for the most part, its antithesis and that's why it fails to resonate.
