The Time Tunnel is a 1966–1967 U.S. color science fiction TV series, written around a theme of time travel adventure. The show was creator-producer Irwin Allen's third science fiction television series, released by 20th Century Fox and broadcast on ABC. The show ran for one season of 30 episodes. Reruns are viewable on cable and by internet streaming. A pilot for a new series was produced in 2002, although it was not picked up.

WOW! This is definitely a must on any fans of 1960s tv. The stories maybe a little thin, by todays standards, but they are very entertaining. They are peppered through the entire season with all known bit part actors, finally given their chance to shine. You can see where Quantum Leap copied their story line from. Travellers lost in time, trying to get home.

With the exception of "The Time Machine", this series has one of the most memorable, iconic and unique time travel devices put on screen. James Darren and Robert Colbert were pretty likeable "dynamic duo". Some of the futuristic stories were so psychedelic and hilarious fun to watch. Most episodes were too similar and the stories felt repetitive though. Several stories has predictable outcome too as the historic events that were told are so well-known that it won't surprise anyone and it would have been better if they choose some of the more obscure historic moments that few knows instead

The Time Tunnel was a show with big ambitions on a small budget. But the budget really wasn't a problem for me. Certainly not watching this as a kid with my parents, and still not watching it today. No, as long as the stories were interesting I don't care how it looks. But therein lies the problem. More
