The most important thing in every work, and first of all, is writing, creating and developing characters. I hope everyone will pay attention to that. Let's wait and see what the Show will offer us., I'm waiting ..

I'm almost lost for words. This have so little to do with books. I'm so so so dissapointed. What a waste of sause material. Maybe if you haven't read the books it might be OK, but as a fan of the books, this is so so so so SO dissapointing. :cry:

Terrible, don’t waste your time. Without making the is a long story, the acting is good but not enough to make up for awful writing.

If you’ve read all the books (I have) then you’ll be borderline horrified by most of the story changes and omissions. Some of the changes I can understand, but most of the changes are just plane bad. Additionally, there is at least one instance, maybe 2, of the writers using “Deus Ex Machina” to avoid there own writing trap(s), a sure sign of lazy and incompetent writing.

Run from this series, don’t walk.

I can understand that fans of the ip are discontent, but thn again fans always are. As someone who doesn't know anything about the source material I think this show is just excellent. The cast is great and diverse, the writing is good and it keeps me wanting more every episode

Love the series. I have read the books until Tower of Midnight and this TV adaptation is really great.
I love the casting and all characters are spot on how I remember them to be. Yes the Tv Series rushes some plot points and switches places and where characters are introduced but its OK we have lots of books to get material from.
Also the part where the characters are a bit older is a win for me. Perrin married was a new one.

I don't care about small details since the main story is intact. The character arcs are there. I Also love that we now can skip all the boring parts of the books where clothes and environments are written down in excruciating detail. Also the 1st book is the worst one in my opinion so skipping there Is no big deal.

The Whitecloaks are awesome in the Tv-series. Abdul Salis as Eamon Valda just kills it. Cant remember that character being that evil but he just nails it. Doing what they do with Logain story is great. I'm happy and hope the series will go on for many years to come.

This was a great series of books, that, in many ways, established a genre. I think it will be a great series, as well. It has the feel of an epic. Amazon has given it a healthy budget and Robert Jordan’s canon is extensive. These first three episodes had to cover a great deal of ground in a very short amount of time but, unlike other commentators, I feel they did it successfully. The characters are engaging. The cast is excellent and their performances are solid. The venues outside of Prague are spectacularly beautiful. Now, we just have to wait for the series to drop episode by episode (my least favourite way to stream). If it keeps this up the ratings should just climb. I give these first three episodes an 8 (great) out of 10. [Fantasy Adventure]

This is an awful adaptation, they left only names and major action events, changing everything else for unknown reason: character personalities, adding characters, scenes, etc.

Robert Jordan was the Tolkien of his time. The Wheel of Time series is a fantastic epic and I hope Amazon does it justice. I’ll be updating my review at a later date!

This really hurts. They ruined it like most of the new so called fantasy stuff is. The male actor really has his 2021 normal haircut... Did not bother to modify it a bit. And... Arwen allways has perfect make-up. Another series where everyone is a model.

"Cheap fantasy productions" and their "forced diversity" make me throw up. All of the shows like The Shannara Chronicles, Shadowhunters, Wheel of Time, Fate: The Winx Saga etc. are copies of each other. Why don't they stop producing such garbage shows? Same story line, same effects, garbage cast... Why? If you are not going to produce something like Battlestar Galactica or Game of Thrones then don't do it.

I say looks promising but can't judge just from the beginning of the series but
We have seen all streaming services trying to adapt novels And ruining them
I'd still prefer to watch a movie adaptation of these novels like the harry potter franchise
Nevertheless, I guess this isn't too bad. I just hope they don't drop this like any great series
that got canceled because of a fund or low rating. If they hold on to it it will
maybe be a big blockbuster like Game of Thrones but you know these companies
only care about money and not the opinions of people
so as an adaptation this looks good but it will need a push from fans and a strong cast to carry it

I have not read the books and I found the first episode so slow and boring I don't know if I want to go on. This whole episode should have been done in 20 minutes. None of the characters grabbed me and the acting is so poor. I wanted to like it, as I'm a huge fan of fantasy, but this is so bad.

Well the books were really good, hope this is too.

Nah, I think it will suck hard.

The first episode drew out the story for a long time, until a the last minute a lady who came to town takes four youths with her, because they need to be protected.

The stretching things out style of storytelling is not interesting to me. It made me feel like everything they showed before in the episode was pointless. Sort of like the whole episode was time filler.
