Tokyo Trial

This doesn't look good. I don't know enough about the trials to speak about the accuracy of the show. But there is hardly anything from the trials in it. It mainly focusses on the wheeling and dealing behind close doors, the conflict amongst the judges. On top of that some kind of pseudo romance between one of them and a german pianist which doesn't have any implication on the story or the verdicts at all. The whole depiction does not cast a good light on the trials. In Nuremburg people were convicted for what they did while in Tokyo it seems many were convicted for what they didn't do. You get the feeling all this trials are about is politics and what the participating nations wanted out of it. It's a power struggle in the wake of the second world war. If you are interested in this topic I suggest to look for a good book and skip this.
