As a Turkish person, I can verify that most of the Turkish stuff in this show is accurate. They used Turkish actors and proper Turkish dialogue which isn't something you see on every show. Even the Turkish songs are VERY well-placed.

Same for French! French actors with French accents. Because I’m not from Paris, I don’t know if the neighborhood they go to is really like that but it seemed believable.

the all American action terror Muslim stuff. I'm actually kind of tired with that. like crime shows.... bored of them too. Still it's ok.

@ruegnueg actually you'll be pleasantly surprised that one of the main actors in the show is also Muslim. One of the "good guys" so it's not portraying that all Muslims = terrorists. I found that refreshing.

@chris-black yeah I know. doesn't change what I said tough :-) I'll never said USA good Muslims evil. but the whole terror scenario is still the same as usual. the show turned out different as I thought. its not great but not bad either. I think we can agree Jack ryan is the most boring 2 dimensional character, which is kinda sad.

Just finished Season 1. The show is very authentic. From the military and intel side at least. However its very hard to make a series about the CIA and portray the agency and their officers in a good light. I'm not sure if the show was aiming
to have me root for the antagonist but I was sure hoping his arc would have continued.
I definitely liked how it changed pov so it wasn't always from an American standpoint and there was justified reasons for the antagonist. Strong series so far.

This show did a very, very good job at evenly depicting character progression. From Jack Ryan himself, to the antagonist and his family, to someone even as simple as the drone pilot. Well developed, written and portrayed storyline. Easy to watch, hard to stop.

Story is all like "==America, fuck yeah==". With the role of Greer they try to show how biased racist people are reacting different, when they finally meet a "good muslim", and that the religion is not a garanty for violance, but fail miserably some scenes later, when they meet/show "bad muslims". So the overall tone is still muslim=violent/bad and have therefore absolutly no rights and americans are above any doubt.
Also the actions of the characters are not always comprehensible. For example:
"Oh, there is a woman getting raped in Afghanistan, while we are sitting in a drone controll center in America. We can't do nothing. Let's bomb the shit out of this village, endanger the women herself and high five after that while laughing." Two episodes later still no consquence for the "pilot" whatsoever.
*facepalm. Or:
"We are following him with distance, so he leads us to his boss. Oh, there is his vehicle on an empty parking lot infront of a big hotel full of windows. Let's aproach the car with guns out."
Getting angry while watching it.

The show delivers on what it promises, it's a classic spy story around the Tom Clancy character. The story is well paced, characters are interesting and the depictions of the action is plausible. The whole is largely helped by another superb score signed by Ramin Djawadi (Person of Interest, Game of Thrones).

While it hasn't prevented me from suspending my disbelief, you might find yourself scratching your head at some cliche plot points. Those might have more to do with the source material than the series, even though it certainly doesn't look to address them.

No Spoilers.

Hand down one of the best shows I have ever watched. Great story, amazing acting and gorgeous cinematic. Not to forget about the spot on pace and the action. And the icing on the cake is the finale; Very few shows have a satisfying ending that ties all the nods and leaves no loose threads (House M.D. as an example of a great last hurrah), They even dealt with a minor character in the last scene. It was so amazing that when I started watching I couldn't stop that i watched 2 episodes in class and missed the lesson, It was so worth it and I recommend it.
Very excited for Season 2.
