Could be a great show if Netflix hired union actors to do the voices. Why try and have some non union voice actors try and sound like Frank Welker (Megatron) and Peter Cullen (Optimus Prime) when you could have hired them to do the voices? Makes no sense.)

Extraordinary adaptation of the original series. The characters are still themselves, but the story has much more intensity, the story is more condensed and without filler episodes.

My opinion: indispensable.

Overall I like the show. Though I know nothing about the Transformers lore. I haven't seen other cartoons and only the first live action movie. What happened before this civil war seems more interesting.

This show handle voices wierd. Sure, it may be realistic that the voice gets <50% in volume and/or becomes mono when the scene changes but that doesn't necessarily mean it's good. More often than not it's just annoying. Sometimes they do it mid sentence. Sometimes an impactful speech isn't that anymore because of volume changes.

Terrible. Just terrible.
Please, destroy the memory of the original cartoon more.

Terrible animation, horrible cheap brushed metal textures used everywhere. Looks like some kid textured the models in blender.
Whilst the robot models are true to the original, which they can be commended on at least that, the way they move against the background, and the backgrounds themselves, are really bad.
The model design almost too far into the realism and it looks like they are using the actual plastic toys as models.

Terrible sound effects - the robots make these weird clunking and whirring noises as they walk, and they move strangely, as if lunging around.
Voices are terrible too. And whats with the reverb and echo. Even in the 80's they had better voice effects.
The characters don't have 10% of the personality or believeability of the original cartoon.
All in all seems a contrived cheap knockoff of low quality compared to even a cartoon written 36 years ago.

I don't understand how companies keep ripping off the transformers idea and mucking it up. It's not that hard.
