Ten years ago, I would have enjoyed this but with so much content out there now, it's not for me. Its funny with good ideas but the Dad's stuff is too absurd for me and neither character was likeable enough I tried 4 episodes before giving up.

Watched it all in one day per GP’s recommendation on Instagram. Quirky, sweet and funny. I enjoyed the exaggerated wellness, spirituality, self-awareness, psychoanalysis components because it’s a fun way to bring these important techniques to light, but also because none of us should take ourselves and our ideologies too seriously. I’ll definitely tune in for a second season. Kind of like goop and big bang theory had a show baby.

Well I managed to get to the end of episode one, but that’s as far as it’s going to go for me…..
This comedy has joke after joke, all perfectly lined up after each other, the problem is you don’t Laugh at them….
Yawn!!!!!

As I watched the first episode - the only one I’ll be watching - I couldn’t help but ask: who is this for? Who wanted a father/son comedy centered on healing from grief starring a real father and son? Rob Lowe is basically playing himself except more wacky and his son John Owen Lowe is playing… mostly the flute I guess. The half hour runtime felt eternal because everywhere there was a “joke” (note the scare quotes) there was almost a pause for laughter that never comes. There’s no studio audience and I sure as heck was laughing. And, it’s not just that it’s not funny- which it’s not, to be clear- but the dialogue is thick with endless joke-shaped bits that go nowhere and almost call attention to how much you’re NOT laughing. Boring and weird.

@dcow36 Why would you intentionally admit to only watching the first episode? That's just telling everyone that your opinion means nothing here. Why not post this on the first episode and stop taking up space?

[Netflix] It tries to be an office sitcom about the relationship between parents and children, but remains in a constant state of torpor, as if it doesn't really know how to develop sufficiently smoothly. There are bizarre moments very characteristic of Victor Fresco, one of the creators, and sometimes some funny plots are achieved, but the general feeling is that it is a comedy without much fun. And Rob Lowe's attempts to build a likable but emotionally disastrous character at the same time fail to achieve their goal.

Not sure why all the negative reviews / low ratings but I quite like this show and it’s funny. Gives you an opportunity to turn off your brain and enjoy some entertainment. They don’t try to throw random stuff at you to meet some quota allocated for the modem audience at the expense of pissing of normal viewers. Ignore the negative reviews and enjoy the show.

I find this particular TV show to be rather dull and uninteresting. The lack of engaging content and captivating storyline fails to capture the viewer's attention. The show's overall presentation and execution fall short in delivering an entertaining and immersive experience. The characters and plotlines lack depth, leaving the audience craving for more substance and excitement. The pacing of the show feels slow and monotonous, further contributing to its lackluster appeal. Overall, this TV show fails to captivate its viewers and falls short in providing an enjoyable and engaging television experience.
