The best thing Australian TV has produced in decades. And I say that as someone who has never liked Tim Minchin's stuff and as someone who has seen every episode of Dr Harry.

I highly recommend giving this series a watch. Just note, that it's a drama first and a comedy second.

This show was a completely joy and I did not expect that it would reach the highs that it did. There is something to be said for these one-off series that allow the writer to drop the viewer right into the middle of the story without having to do character development. In fact, the opposite happens - the viewer gets to discover the character. Each show seemed to be better than the next with the culmination being an absolutely masterful (and emotional ending). I wanted to watch this Australian series partly because Tim Minchen, my favorite atheist, is co-creator and star, but also because I heard good things about it. And rightly so.
