Watched the first few minutes of the pilot and decided to drop this show. Jared is just not a very good actor, not good enough yo be the lead and only "big" name. I am a Supernatural fan, watched every episode. Even then I really thought Jared's acting has "regressed" starting from the second half of that show. Only saving grace was Jensen's great acting plus they're still both very good looking after 15 seasons.

I don't remember much from watching Walker, Texas Ranger as a kid except for a lot of ass kicking and a bit of horseback riding.
I expected something similar for a reboot, however, there's a lot less ass whopping and a whole lot more family drama.

After the initial shock not getting what I expected, the show is actually fair. There's a lot more of the family drama and the characters of the Walker family and his partner and captain.

This is not a show for fans of the original Walker. The first episode was pretty boring. Hoping it picks up but Jared lacks the charisma Chuck Norris had, I found it hard to evoke any interest in what happened. If this was a new show that wasn't using the name walker to attract people, I doubt I'd watch episode 2. But I'll give it a shot to see if it improves, ironically though the best part of the show after the first episode is the name.

I’ve stuck with this for 9 episodes but I can’t watch any more and am bailing forthwith.


this is not an action show in any sense of the word. It very much a woke family drama with the occasional slice of action. A totally different impression is given from the promos.

They stories are haphazard and difficult to invest in and the lead is supposed to be a Texas Ranger, but one who spends most of his time getting drunk and acting like an absolute clown. Furthermore his whole family seem to be ‘wayward’ in the interests of drama! The only redeeming character is his new partner who acts like she’s the one who’s been working as a Ranger for years while he’s the ‘new boy’.

It’s very very silly and aimed for an undemanding viewership. I can no longer tolerate any more of this tripe so I’m out

Well I somehow managed to get to season 2 Episode 12, but with the best will in the world I can not watch another single episode ever again…

It is so dreadful it actually makes Teletubbies look exciting. I promise you no excitement, no riveting story lines, no cliff hanging moments, no characters to love or hate.. just bland vanilla..

Don’t get me stated on the lead Walker. The man is a total moron! He can’t say a single sentence without pausing after every other word. Reading his lines is like my 4 year old learning to read. I’m sure he wasn’t as bad as this Supernatural?!? Very weird

I have watched all the best shows and I realise I am now scraping the barrel so I don’t expect amazing, I don’t even expect good…
But at the very least I expect watchable!! Even a 3/4+ / 10 but this is a generous 2 very generous.

This is clearly is the show where bad actors go to die!

quite possibly the worst show on TV. the worst performances, the worst storylines, the worst character ‘arcs’, as well as a Texas Ranger that acts like he's new out of the academy. Its pitiful stuff. car-crash TV for the curious.

I am extremely disappointed in this series. Jared Padalecki is more of a side kick in it, than the main character. His partner seems to be the main focus in the show. It's nothing like the old Walker Texas Ranger. This also seems to be more about his family. Chuck Norris would not be impressed. It is also one of those woke crappy TV shows. I would rate it at a 4/10, but my wife would be angry, because Jared can't do anything wrong. :D

Look, if you can't meme the hell out of this for all of eternity like you can Chuck Norris then it's never going to be the same.

COVID wears a mask to protect itself against Chuck Norris. You can't use any other actor in that kind of meme, so why try?

Very disappointing, I was expecting an action drama. Lindsey Morgan (Micki Ramirez) does bring action to her role. This I would say is more focused on family than an crime action series, (think Blue Bloods). Now with my new perspective, I will enjoy it more and it does improve after a several episodes.

This show is definitely getting canceled.

Big Supernatural fan and I was looking forward to this show. But after the first three episodes I am a little disappointed so far.

This show is one in which the main character has to be all the times sorry for working, and earning money for his family, while one time he has been gone undercover for 10 months, like that is such a big deal, hah, and his wife was killed... WTF ? And he is doing no investigation about that, after he is back... Whats the point to kill his wife then, in the scenarios ? Just to make drama, and his dramatic idiot kids ? Oh, what a drama for nothing. And that constant music all the times, something happen and the soundtrack is getting on my nerve, what's this a musical drama. Pretty boring and dramatic for no reason. The main character does his work right, while he need to be sorry for that, pretty much it. Never gonna watch this again...... Liked the original from 1993 though...

It isn't the greatest start to a series that I've ever seen, but overall it isn't bad. I wondering how long de Jared fans will stay on board and how long it will take for his mysterious story to be unraveled

Omg why does every scene need to have background music. I understand if you are in a car or pub but within 5 seconds on every scene there is different music playing. Also so far this is boring as hell.

I did not like the first 2 episodes at all. Not one bit. Based on those alone, I would never have watched the show again. However, I did watch ep3. and low and behold, the show got much better.

Overall I liked the show, (minus the 1st 2 episodes) and am now looking forward to a 2nd season.

I really wanted to like this. I even gave it a try but at ep. 10 I just quit middle of the episode. Removing this from my list.

Very basic CW woke soap TV show that pretends to be an action show.

Writing is extremely horrible.

So far if this was a soap it would be a 6.5-7 out of 10. As a action series 3 out of 10. I'm waiting to see if it gets any better, otherwise I'm dropping this show. Reboots must be better than original or interesting and appealing.

Sorely lacking anything new here. No martial arts or much else to make it different from any other ranger tv show. I've stopped watching, but will miss watching cute Lindsey Morgan.
