Love watching Banks as the hard edge cop. Early training for Breaking Bad!

S01:The Steelgrave case was a good opening and is a standard mob type show. The Profitts case on the other hand veered all over the place as Mel was pretty insane. I recall how popular it was when it aired and it still did play out just fine after you got thru the voodoo crap and it had a decent ending.
Show was definitely building on the vibe from Miami Vice and for the most part succeeds.

S02:More great casting choices with Tucci and Lewis in the garment case and Frey and Harris in the music case.Both cases are pretty good story lines. There are a few episodes in between and at the end that can be skipped. For an 80s show, it still plays ok.

S03:Returns to the mob action and then heads to Washington for political intrigue. The show ends on a company town case that gets pretty weird at the end. The best part is frank getting scared by a moose! Overall the arcs were pretty good with DC being the best one.

S04: Vinnie is gone and the show disintegrates. Feel free to skip.

Movie: If your a fan of the series then this will work for you. kind of like a mini arc. Acts like S04 never happened. Very hard to find though.

It is still an 80s show but it replays a lot better than i thought it would. The story arcs were all pretty good and gave the show a good variety of action and changes of pace. Some pretty good humor in it too.
