Zhou Zi Shu gets embroiled in a conspiracy in the martial arts world after quitting his job as the leader of an organization tasked with protecting royalty. He meets Wen Ke Xing, a mysterious martial artist who escapes from the Ghost Valley to avenge his parents’ deaths. They become fast friends and embark on an adventure to find a legendary treasure that will give its owner ultimate power over jianghu.

The story seems like a love child from Legends of Fei and Heaven's Official Blessings in the best way. I was not expecting to love it as much as I did. Amazing story. Amazing acting. Amazing music. 10/10 would recommend.

A beautiful fairy-tale with flashy fighting and intricate costumes. Music that will stick with you. Good chemistry. The fact that it operates on fairy-tale logic doesn't mean that a lot of people won't die, since it's wuxia after all. In general, the pacing was good. The ending arc had to be unfortunately rushed, but at least they managed to cover the important plot points. I feel that the show is a very good attempt to bring a highly emotional narrative like this to the screen, even if it's a bit cheesy by nature.

this drama came out of nowhere and stole my heart. what can i say. the storyline, the acting, the music, the costumes, the fighting scenes and general cinematography (even with the... questionable CG) was just amazing. and that's considering they had peanuts for budget. i'm very impressed. also, all of wkx costumes were just -*chef kiss*- this has easily become one of my favourite dramas, i actually enjoyed it more than the novel it is based on. well done production team!

When I started this drama I got The Untamed (2019) vibes from this. The chemistry between the main leads Zhang Zhehan and Gong Jun is quite similar to Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo (The Untamed) not to mention that Sun Xi Lun (Zhang Chengling) reminds me of Wang Yibo.
