A Face in the Crowd

It was OK. I had a hard time believing it in the beginning. For instance he tells groups of people to do odd things and they do, but why? He has no charm or power at this point yet he sways people. Are people that sheepish? Maybe i read too much into it and need to just enjoy it. The movie soon gets going it's better. Lots of mistrust and manipulation as expected. The advert part was hilarious. It turns more into a group elite or personal climbing the ladder commentary which I liked. It's a good movie about personalities, having many faces, human nature and power whilst using the vehicle of Americana. Timeless. Just look at movies like Bob Roberts to see the same kind of deep roots journey. The end made up for the beginning in a way. I've seen movies that do personal power trips with more intensity or entertainment but this offers other things to enjoy or think about. I just can't say that movie won my heart though. I think it would if you were American.
