This is a fun sequel where you’ll enjoy it better if you turn your brain off and don’t take it seriously. Murphy, Reinhold and Ashton have great chemistry.
Part 3 wasn’t as good at all without that trio.

_Beverly Hills Cop II_ is a must-watch for fans of action-comedy movies. It manages to surpass its predecessor with its impressive blend of humor and thrilling action scenes. The film features a talented ensemble cast, including Judge Reinhold and John Ashton, who provide fantastic support to Murphy's comedic genius. The chemistry between the characters is fantastic, and the movie keeps you engaged all the way through.

Even better than the original thanks to the director's hand.

A fun film, full of the cunning of Detective Axel Foley. Even though it may seem a little forced at times, it is still extremely funny. However, the voice acting change to Axel Foley was disappointing; his voice didn't match well. Despite this, he delivered great scenes.

The only bad thing about it was how they couldn't remember to put the same Ferrari model we see later in the movie as the model in the beginning.

I had not seen her since the cinema and I still like her, same level as 1. Brigitte Nielsen, a door works better

While the first movie is a timeless classic, this sequel has not aged well. I give the original 9 and this is 6 at best. probably should be lower. The first one had an interesting story and the power struggle was the strong point. This sequel is a total mess in every aspect.

Director Tony Scott ramps up the action in Beverly Hills Cop II, a hard hitting sequel that’s better than the original. Detroit police detective Axel Foley returns to Beverly Hills to help out his old friends when their captain is shot down by a professional crime syndicate. The characters are fleshed out a lot better this time, which helps to give the film more of a buddy cop feel. And, Brigitte Nielsen does a good job at creating a charismatic villain. The comedy is toned down a bit, but Murphy still delivers a strong performance. While there are a few problems, overall Beverly Hills Cop II is a fun and exciting action film.

Everything Axel Foley gets away with is not very believable. With especially the 3rd one. You have to just turn off your brain. Sit back and enjoy the ride.

Yes, you’ve guessed it loud mouthed and fast talking Detroit detective Axel Foley is once again headed to Beverly Hills. This time the directing reins go to Tony Scott (Top Gun) and once again produced by the (80’s 90’s) action two-some Don Simpson and Jerry Bruckheimer. For me personally the sequel doesn’t have the same magic as the first. There are glimpses though, Eddie Murphy is on fine form yet again as Foley, Judge Reinhold and John Ashton once again on fine form and allowed more comedic freedom in the sequel than they did in the first, which is understandable. The soundtrack unlike my love of the first has some good tracks "Shakedown" by Bob Seger probably being the best song on the entire OST having been nominated for an Academy Award. Overall, Beverly Hills Cop 2, where it doesn’t have the magic or the timing of the first movie it’s still an enjoyable action comedy. Tony Scott does a very good job, from the chaotic and well shot action scenes we know and love from other Scott and Simpson/Bruckheimer productions.
