this movie was great I would of tasted higher if they didn't throw in all the racist hateful comments as always. tired of the hate going between everyone. daughter was great.

The only way you see it as "racism hateful comments" is you're white and have no idea how hateful half the other white people you live around are. If you don't know about the "other half" of hateful white people, you are part of the hateful half

It's a typical lighthearted Halloween movie that the whole family can enjoy. Of course it's not scary, but it's fun to watch. I enjoyed it.

Heavy on the Halloween aesthetics and Priah Ferguson is charming and confident as usual. It's not scary in the slightest and not all the jokes land but I believe it would make a decent family movie for the Halloween season as an easy watch. Lots of fun moments, my favorite was the spider.

Like a pumpkin suppository, the idea is original but what they did with it, isn't.

A really good idea that's perfectly content with mediocrity.

While it had its moments, this wasn't for me.

This film feels aimed at a younger audience and therefore I appreciate I'm not the target audience.

However, this had the promise of being a fun light-hearted horror movie for the whole family to enjoy, and yet this was hard to watch with most jokes not landing.

4/10 - Below-average film, would rewatch it if someone else was desperate to.

A serviceable, suitably spooky PG supernatural horror comedy that's not too scary for the younger audience. This film oozes holiday spirit and the special effects are actually very impressive for a family friendly horror. However, it's missing the warmth and joy you typically find on good PG horror, plus the dad character was just not funny at all he quickly became insufferable. I was still fairly entertained though.

Just finished watching, went in with not much of an idea how this one would turn out, glad to say I really enjoyed this one.

It had a lot of funny moments, I especially liked the scene where
Rob Riggle's character Sully dresses as Rick Grimes and plants zombie statues outside his house, which then come to life that was such a great scene and a nice nod to current horror.
The film had some pretty good special effects a cool story and plenty of friendly family Halloween movie vibes.

I was surprised to see Kelly Rowland in this as well, I had no idea going in. It's also nice to have another actual family Halloween based movie that you can come back to around the Halloween season, along with the likes of Hocus Pocus, The Addams Family etc which is rare these days. As a Halloween themed movie it works, while catering to the broadest of age ranges young or old, recommended family viewing.

It's good fun, mainly a kids' movie, but you know how that goes. Dad's the hero. The kid is smarter beyond her years and Mom's a mom. Your kids will love it without it being scary or too dumb for you.

The race thing will strike the half of white America that knows the other half of white America is still racist and whiny as hell as just pointing out the ridiculous in a half hearted humorous way. The other half? Shut up already. We're sick of you whining every time someone points out YOUR racism.

As someone mentioned before, it is a typical Halloween family movie but it exceeded my expectations. Really enjoyed it, not scary at all, good visuals as well. The acting was good and there were some funny moments.

A straight to Netflix Halloween special, that is both too mature and too family friendly. With Wayans as the lead and a PG-13 rating, I wanted a bit more. Unfortunately, it is not that. I am sure there will be an audience out there that really enjoys this one, but it is a pretty big missed opportunity for what I expected.

Rating: 1.5/5 - 6/10 - Not Recommended to Everyone
