Bad CG, predictable jump scares, and a pretentious plot make this movie about as interesting as white bread. Some of the scares are OK, but the characters are painfully stupid and not worth putting up with the rest of the movie. The whole thing is poorly thought out and generally frustrating. I give this movie two garbage-bags of farts.

[spoiler]"Larry" is made of the loneliness caused by using computers, so he... creates a shitty book that people have to read in order for him to take children? But people don't have to read it because the pages can just flip to the end for dramatic effect, so maybe the book doesn't have anything to do it how Larry works? Also, does Larry need electricity to manifest or just a screen? Why do lights flicker when he's around instead of just turning off (or on, depending on how Larry works)? Why doesn't Larry just come out to grab kids instead of being spooky for days? Has this happened before, or is this a first? What does the iPad have to do with Larry given that he can just possess any phone, TV, or smart fridge at will? Why is Larry so horrifying if he just wants friends?[/spoiler]
