The true-life story of boxer-turned-priest. When an injury ends his amateur boxing career, Stuart Long moves to Los Angeles to find money and fame. While scraping by as a supermarket clerk, he meets Carmen, a Sunday school teacher who seems immune to his bad-boy charm. Determined to win her over, the longtime agnostic starts going to church to impress her. However, a motorcycle accident leaves him wondering if he can use his second chance to help others, leading to the surprising realization that he's meant to be a Catholic priest.

Such a great/emotional/inspiring true story and a perfect actor to fit the role. Overall premise of the film is great, but the middle and climax was certainly a bit drawn out (a bit too long). The initial set up of the story line could have gone into more depth and felt like all the key points of the story were a bit rushed. However the premise itself was very entertaining and intriguing as its about a young man who is struggling with getting his life together that ends up finding God through an unconventional and random way by being fixated on picking up a young lady who happened to be very involved in her church.

It would have been a standard biography, but the protagonist characterization was exaggerated way too much, making him completely out of character and not realistic.

I normally love these type of movies but I don’t think Marky Mark was the right pick for it. I just couldn’t get into it. It was too long and drawn out as well.

Mark Wahlberg is competent here as the eponymous boxer who takes a shine to the young church-going Carmen (Teresa Ruiz). He can't get near her, so he somewhat opportunistically decides to join her church and see if that helps. Thing is, pretty quickly he discovers that there is something to this "Go More

Let me start off by saying that I completely understand all of the hate this film is getting, and that's because for the first half of the film I hated it too.
