Great look at the 80's action movie cycle. It was a wonderful love letter to some of my favorite flicks of the 80's and early 90's.

Absolutely riveting and comprehensive look at the action movie genre.

I'd give it a 10 if they had managed to get an A-list actor for interview to get the perspective of a legend like Stallone or Schwarzenegger.

It uses every minute of its 140 run time to pay tribute to the golden age of action and comes round to today's weak stars with ridiculous cartoon sci-fi.

Go watch Scott Adkins. He's the last hope.

An affectionate look back at the good and the bad from 80s and 90s action cinema. With great clips, actor and filmmaker insights, and oodles of nostalgia, this was a great watch. Welcome to the party pal!

I REALLY REALLY miss the 80's and 90's when this planet was at least sane.
This to ME at least was the last time when movies where made for the enjoyment of us...
now it's focus groups, AI and CGI to cater for the most bang for buck and then MAYBE story next.

I must say its loads of fun seeing all those clips, seeing all those fun action movies coming along, people talking about them, people like; Scott Adkins, Paul Verhoeven, Shane Black, Ronny Cox, Bill Duke, Cynthia Rothrock, Michael Jai White and many more.

They cover the start of actions movies, their two biggest stars (Schwarzenegger and Stallone), soundtracks, the evolution, the era's, how it all changed, VHS and how it was all about stars back then. It is a great entry if you are interested in those old action movies or if you already love them. It reminded me that I really miss those old movies and that I should rewatch movies more. I love myself some Schwarzenegger, van Damme, Scott Adkins, Jackie Chan, Stallone, Bruce Lee and many more. So I think I know what I will be watching a lot this year!
