Shetru just outdid himself this time. This is what you get when a visionary director who is passionate towards what he does, executes a movie so beautifully. This is world class cinema and what kannada cinema is capable of. Thank you for the entire team for proving that again.

The movie never misses a beat in showcasing the culture , folkore of tulunadu. It just hooks you up right from the opening sequence and never lets u go. This probably has the best opening scene for a kannada cinema of all time. Each and every characters steals the scene they are in.

Technically the movie is shot beautifully and some scenes are just picture perfect. Movie is filled with some of the best shots to ever come from Indian cinema. You can just freaze some frames and put it on as wallpaper. It's that good. Background score is just cherry on top. Every time the awsome score came up it was goosebumps.

Mad respect to Rishab Shetty for taking this complicated concept and executing so masterfully. If u have even some ideas about the culture, traditions of tulunadu, then you're going to love this. Its funny, has social commentary, mystery and the best execution of supernatural powers. Showdown between the protagonist and the antagonist is just epic. You just have to watch this amazing piece of cinema to experience it, so don't miss it. There are few minute things i dint like but it dwarves away in comparison how good the rest of the movie is. 10/10 amazing stuff all around.

Striking, Formidable, Masterful

Kantara is a visually stunning marvel from Rishabh Shetty which honors our deeply rooted culture by beautifully bringing forth a folktale that is unknown to most Indians. A man vs mature extravaganza which easily categorizes itself into the list of best films of this decade. A highly imaginative and immersive experience that is backed by stunning cinematography, a powerful screenplay, a blend of beautifully placed humor and romance, and last but not least a monstrous lead at the helm. Hats off to Rishabh Shetty for making such a film we can be proud of. A wildly entertaining blockbuster you shouldn't miss.

The film stars Rishabh Shetty, Sapthami Gowda, Achyuth Kumar, and Kishore as leads and the performances are exceptional. Everyone gives a grounded and rooted performance. But the man who deserves more respect is the writer, director, and actor Rishabh. A raw, masculine, and powerful character that is exemplary and an actor can be proud of. Rishabh deserves a national award for the monstrous climax.

Overall, Kantara is a heady blend of history, myth, folklore, high drama, and stylishly choreographed action neatly wrapped in a form of firmly rooted cultural context. From all angles, it is a visually sumptuous, instantly immersive spectacle mounted with extraordinary vim and vigor. Don't miss this marvel just like you ignored Tumbbad in theatres. Pro Tip: Watch the Honesty Saying Review of Shan Prasher on YouTube for the religious lingo which you should be aware of before watching. It will help you get a grip on the story.
