Honest, Enjoyable, Relatable

Nna, Thaan Case Kodu is a biting satire which coasts along on the strength of a humorous script and a set of earnest performances. Writer-director Ratheesh Balakrishnan Poduval’s organic humour is refreshing and silliness of the plot is the most likeable thing about the entire film. The film is unique as most Malayalam films promise and yet its such a relatable theme which anyone can relate to. A common man tries to fight the people in power against all odds . The film pacing is kind of slow, and may not please many . However the content and direction of the film carries more weight than the opinion of people who criticise a film like these.

Kunchako Boban is a delight to watch on screen. It is the ease with which he becomes Rajeevan, with absolutely no trace of the glamour he is known for, that makes it so impressive. Almost defiantly, it’d seem, he rejects style and comfortably becomes the man who is at first a petty thief and then a labourer, moving with the flow of life. Gayathrie Shankar is brilliant as Boban's love interest and she equally is good as Boban in the limited role she got. Other actors have done a great job in supporting such an earnest performance from Boban.

Overall, Nna Thaan Case Kodu is a enjoyable political satire which shines more due to its storytelling and spurge of occasional surprises and reliability with solid lead performance. However this is not for everyone to cherish who watch cinema only for entertainment. This is deeply layered and a thoughtful satire which gets better with repeated viewings. Try this one you might enjoy it.
