After watching this, I really don't understand the dislike for the film. I found it to be a fairly decent horror/psychological thriller with a little bit of added gore thrown in. The setting was superb, and the suspense throughout was great without being unnerving. While it's true that the film expected you to "stretch your imagination" some, isn't that the case with 99% of movies nowadays...especially those in the oft-maligned horror genre? I didn't find it difficult to follow, even at the expense of "shutting off my brain" for an hour and a half. The acting was mediocre at best, but seriously...who goes into a movie like this expecting Oscar-winning performances? My biggest complaint was the skinny jeans the girl wore throughout the movie. (I hate those things.) Otherwise, I thought this was a great "bargain-bin" find while digging through some of the lesser-known titles on one of my favorite streaming sites.

**DISCLAIMER:** My idea of gore may differ somewhat from yours; I don't consider excessive blood-letting to be "gore", for instance. I've watched too many zombie and/or torture-porn movies with intestines being ripped out of stomachs, eyeballs gouged from sockets, brains being ripped out of torn-open skulls, etc for a tiny bit of blood on the floor to be considered "gory". If you're not used to a lot of violence and its aftermath, this may not be for you. For the hardcore "gorror" fan, this is a walk in the park; I wouldn't consider any of this "excessive".
