The combination of Will Ferrell and Ryan Reynold I was expecting this to be one hilarious movie, even though it was a bit of musical. Those two are probably one of the funniest people out there but this movie was a little too corny and not funny as expected. Two hours of a lot of back and forth of the Christmas spirits when I expected a lot funnier story then what I saw. If you like musicals you might like this but other then that, its kind of a meh movie.

I think this would be a lot better on the stage in the west end or broadway. As far as film musicals go, it was kind of underwhelming.

this movie is going to become my personality during ever december for the rest of my life. except for the finale. [spoiler] if wren had posted the video, she would've grown up depressed and miserable. and the movie is about consequences, right? so how come the writers didn't acknowledge the fact that she would still grow up miserable and depressed after her uncle dying ON CHRISTMAS DAY AFTER HUGGING HER FOR THE FIRST TIME IN FOREVER?? in an ideal world, he would've died of old age and only then become a part of the whole ghost institution. [/spoiler] apart from the finale, perfect movie.

Wow, but this is all over the place. Based very loosely on the Dickens' character from his "A Christmas Carol" story, Will Ferrell is the Ghost of Christmas Present who now works for "Jacob Marley" (Patrick Page) trying to save irredeemable souls from purgatory.
