Leo Borlock is an average student at Mica High School. He gets decent grades, is a member of the school's marching band and has always been content flying under the radar. But all that changes when he meets Stargirl Caraway, a confident and colorful new student with a penchant for the ukulele, who stands out in a crowd. She is kind, finds magic in the mundane and touches the lives of others with the simplest of gestures. Her eccentricities and infectious personality charm Leo and the student body, and she quickly goes from being ignored and ridiculed to accepted and praised, then back again, sending Leo on a rollercoaster ride of emotions.

Ok, it's a dreamy nice feel movie, one that caused my eyes to well up more than once (easily done) and there's no harm in that, right. I'm somewhat older than its intended target audience, and yet when the movie came to an end, albeit a little rapid, it left me with the immediate feeling of being a little more lonely than before I watched it. That'll pass quick enough, but I think that illustrates the love the movie tries to impart, and the warmth of the characters. Just enjoy the movie, don't over analyse it's production or structure. It just doesn't really matter, surely!! :) x

A great movie that I feel like a lot of people have not seen yet. I only saw it after I saw the trailer for the sequel and let me tell you, it was really good.
