idk what I really think about this movie the one thing I really found weird is more or less none of them had a knife nor a pistol on them it a war, and you get trained always to bear firearms so that just one thing I find really lagging,

I didn't think it was awful. Just a cheap space horror movie. Had nothing to with Starship Troopers, but if they had just called it "Killer Space Bugs" or whatever nobody would have ever watched it.

I remember loving the first movie because it had that feeling to it that you get when watching movies like “Big Trouble in Little China”, or “The Fifth Element”…not trying to win Oscars, but just good cheesy in a good way entertainment. I didn’t even know there was a second one, but when I was surfing through the leaving soon section of the HBO app there it was. Not knowing the 2nd one existed should have been my first clue. This movie was terrible. It was so bad, I’m thinking of rewatching the first one to make sure I’m not misremembering a movie I saw probably 20 years ago.

Suffers on its own because of the terrible acting, subpar CGI and unimpressive setting. Worse though comes when you compare it to the first film, because it completely lacks everything that made the original _Starship Troopers_ enjoyable.

It does introduce some interesting things to the mythology More

You see I love tropes, they are what makes genres what they are... and Starship Troopers 2 is full of tropes...

... the problem is that they don't add anything to the genre.
