The Belle Starr Story

A heist Spaghetti Western mixed with romance. It was fun watching a female gunslinger compete against the men. And she was in it to win - except when the passions took over and she lost on purpose. Elsa Martinelli as Belle Starr was a great bandit. She dressed as a man, and was very defiant. George Eastman was a very polite but rough gangster - And the third star Robert Woods was mostly in flashbacks filling in the back-story. Actually, I had just watched "Pray to God and Dig Your Grave," starring Woods, and the roles were so different I didn't even recognize him in this film until I read the credits. I guess that is the sign of a good actor, when they can change their appearance that much. None of the ones I found were very good quality, but they are watchable.
