The Breakfast Club was great, probably one of the best teen movies I've ever seen. Despite the stereotypes that all the characters are, they're still fun to watch and I particularly liked Allison. The only major problems I had with it were the really bland adults and the absolutely terrible ending.

The coupling up was completely unnecessary and Allison was way cooler pre-makeover; she basically changed everything that made her who she is because hurr gotta wear makeup and be pretty. I would have been perfectly happy if everybody had stayed the way they were and just been friendly with each other. Grrr...

@aldy yet you rated it 10? Your rating doesn't really make sense.

@bulma-punkrocker What bothers me is that Claire falls for Bender, the guy who had spent the whole movie bashing her for her virginity, and had been picking on everyone else. It was such a cliche for the pretty girl to fall for the 'bad boy'.

Woah, splendid representation of what could happen if you sit down and actually talk to people and about yourself, show interest in a person. What a difference it could make and how people can be influenced. Glad I finally got around to seeing it.

An authentic representation of the reality of the teenage world and the criticizes that come within it. There are criticizes within the choices you make, undertaking these individuals through a pressure of fitting in with others, which in the end develops criticizes, too. The most important highlight of The Breakfast Club is the question that pressures teenagers; “What do we want to do with our lives?” “How do we really reveal our true identities?”

Honestly, this is a really clichéd film, however, for it’s time it was outstanding, and it is still relevant to modern society. I think we can all find ourselves in The Breakfast Club and relate to the characters. We have all gone or are going through this stage of life and that is what is so goddamn re-watchable about this film. We can connect to it in every single way. The cast is amazing. They all fit their roles in perfectly and the soundtrack couldn’t have been any better. The Breakfast Club is truly a masterpiece!

I don't think Allison's makeover is what makes Andy interested in her, as he was looking at her in a quite interested way just before Claire changed her looks. The coupling was unnecessary because they could all just stay friends, but I think the decision was to put on movie what the future would probably look like - that is, unless they made a "the next Monday" scene, there was no easy way to convey the idea that they would stay friends.

After reading some of the negative comments made about this movie, i decided to make some of my own. Yes, to younger viewers, this movie will appear to be outdated. The only thing "outdated" is the clothing styles and the music. It doesnt matter what year you went to high school or what school you even went to, there will always be a "criminal", a "jock", a "princess", a "nerd", and a "basket case". This movie is the best teenage movie, no matter when you are a teenager!

_The Breakfast Club_ is a classic movie of the 80's genre and another masterpiece from the legendary writer and director, John Hughes. The film is a quintessential coming of age story that follows a diverse group of high school students who come together during a Saturday detention. The movie is one of the greatest films of the 80's, capturing the essence of teenage agony and rebellion that defined the decade. The characters are relatable, and the performances are outstanding, making the film a timeless classic that has stood the test of time. Okay movie but I don't get the big hype. The last minutes of the movie there were all of a sudden two relationships that came out of nowhere and also I hated the whole makeover scene with Allison. Was still a fun movie to watch, the ending was just unsatisfying I think.

Amazing movie, loses a point for the sad ending of presenting teenagers to the concept of changing-yourself-to-fit-in shit.
