Although panned by critics (like basically any Sandler movie) I must say I was rather surprised in a good way here. All Adam Sandler movies tend to, well, suck but this movie was actually okay. It felt in a way like a subtle but absurd (and therefore good-ish) parody of superhero movies but more in the typical costume of sunday afternoon entertainment, easy digestible. I wouldn't call this movie good or anything but on the other hand I didn't expect too much to begin with and Sandler did much worse movies like the infamous Jack and Jill. Nice effort that you can watch if you have nothing to do but won't miss anything if you still don't watch it.

I'd say this is the worst Adam Sandler movie I've ever seen but that doesn't really seem to mean anything anymore. It also wouldn't be entirely accurate since _Jack & Jill_ exists. And _Grown Ups_. And _Pixels_. And _Click_.

I don’t understand all the I hate Adam Sandler but I watch all his movies comments. It was one of the better movies he’s made lately. If you don’t like him don’t waste time watching him.

I don't know what's really going on with Adam Sandler in the recent years, he was actually out of the league for a while from entertaining his fans.
