I loved the begining, but the ending was very sloppy. The set design was great, the camera work on point and the main cast perfectly matched. The film has many flaws, but overall it is an enjoyable movie for the whole family.

Cate Blanchett is amazing. But that's true for pretty much all of her movies. And this one has nothing else to offer. Unless you are a kid or have kids.

The movie is funny and it has a good story, it really doesn't get boring as the almost two hours pass. The only thing that I have to point out is that the trailer is one of the worst trailers I've ever seen, the movie looks soooo uninteresting that I wouldn't have watched it if I was the one picking the movie.

**After Thoughts**

**The Good**
• It has a somewhat creepy atmosphere that maintains some sense of wonder.
• Okay morals, that, for myself, didn't work the way it was trying to.
• Jack Black and Cate Blanchett are a quirky and lovable pair that I thought was the highlight of the movi More

I would love to see more films with these characters. There are a few poop jokes which were the worst part of the film (but these jokes seem to b More

**Fantasy and light horror are relatively in harmony, even if this is problematic for a lot of people.**

I saw this movie recently and I really liked it. It's nothing original, it does what others have done equally well, but manages to entertain the public very well, and especially young people a More

There was a couple of instances over the course of _The House with a Clock in Its Walls_, particularly early on, that had my hopes up, but by the end? God I was so disappointed. The lead is not a great actor (often a trouble when you have to cast young), and the effects are pretty bad. The worst thi More
